Nine Lives

A short story about Mano the neighborhood cat who is in danger of using up all of her nine lives. Mano has left the sheltered life of her home and is determined to make her way in the world. Excited in her new found freedom in the neighboring homes and gardens, she soon becomes frightened and lost in an unknown environment of the outside world she so eagerly entered. Every animal Mano meets in the neighborhood represents a country, family and a sense of belonging. The summer is coming and friends are hard to find…. can she survive and can she find her way home again?
